ZOMG THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MY WHOLE LIFEZ!
QUOTE:In our opinion, CoD4's config_mp.cfg file plays a huge role in the outcome of online gaming. More accurately, the role is huge *if* your system (hardware and communication systems) is bottlenecked. FPS rate is life online and if your system cannot attain the same framerates as your opponents, you will find yourself more often than not...dead.
rofl, they included /cl_timenudge -15 in the yitch3 config. I remember that command in UO that made you warp around and impossible to hit. I looked for it in CoD4 but I don't think it's there.
1. timenudge was my attempt at an inside joke (placebo-effect). clearly wasn't as funny as i had thought. sorta like IW putting in an MP44 in cod4. i didnt find that funny either.
2. @Nabore: the guys with crappy pc's and connections find 42 to be a bit easier for them ping-wise. They also reported some packet loss at 63. i tried to mention that. However, with your awesome fibreoptic connection...i'd leave it at 63. 42 will still give you a 9% increase in jump distance (as does 63 btw).
3. @tEEKK. One of the reasons for yitch3 was to get rid of some of the issues caused in yitch2 that i got email about. Second...its only been tested on nVidia GPU's. Also...if you don't notice much difference, don't try running it using an exec command...just replace your config_mp file with it and restart the game. Or you'll have to use the /vid_restart and or /r_applypicmip commands...
anyone fallen asleep yet?
As i said in the verbage...you'll only get an extra 10% in certain situations. If you have a kicka** system...u ain't gonna see much benefit.
#22 the reg is the same, you effectively need to enter 1 command in CoD4 to get decent reg .. cl_maxpackets 100, since snaps set to 30 according to sv_fps and the rate is by default 25000. Setting your maxpackets to 63 doesnt change anything since it is rounded up to 63 even in you have the value set to 100, maxpackets is just a divisor of your fps (1/2 if above 100 fps).
nades disappear when you throw them, at least you dont see them anymore so you cant see nades coming towards you.. is there a way to change this, so you do see the nades and flashes comign towards you?
ZOMG YITCH3

if i get 250-249 fps
then what maxfps and maxpackets should i use?
This of course if you are using com_maxfps 125 :)
r_lodscaleskinned 4 (player models)
These are locked in NA rulesets. I wish it was forced at these values for everyone though, it would get rid of the
