The patch fixes minor issues with the ranking system but has been welcomed by the competitive community nonetheless as a clear sign of IW's continued support for the game. Version 1.1 is believed to have removed the bug experienced by a number of players where their rankings stats would be reset upon moving from a non-ranked server to a ranked one.

The patch can be downloaded here and installation instructions can be found below. Infinity Ward have already confirmed their intention to include features such as CoDTV in future patches but for now players will have to be content with this small show of support.

The official release notes are as follows.

"This patch addresses the issue of Rank / Stat resets reported by users moving from a Modded / Un-ranked server to a non Modded / Ranked Server. This update is not intended to revert back to any previously lost rank, but to prevent the issue from happening in the future."

Installation Instructions:

1. Download the patch file here.
2. Unzip all files into your main Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare™ folder, default is C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare, overwriting as necessary.
