The German player joins the team following Tim "mazaKR" Rolappe's decision to step back from active play due to his school work. Having met a number of the team at the NorthCon LAN event in Germany, Philips had been playing with THE6DEVILS since his departure from Dignitas and the team now feel ready to officially announce the switch. Team manager Tony Löschner described the chemistry in the new lineup as "perfect" and was enthusiastic about the team's future in Call of Duty 4.

Kevin "lopezz" Philips originally described his move to Dignitas as a "dream" but things quickly turned sour after his playing time was limited following the team's success at i32. The UK side were sad to let him go but Philips felt he needed to move on, stating his desire to play in a German side once more and THE6DEVILS represents exactly such a move.

The team's latest addition leaves THE6DEVILS with a full lineup once more.
