Spanish team BlackSouls has announced a merger with rivals Dignition which sees them take on three new squads.
BlackSouls have acquired the Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike Female squads from Dignition in a move announced yesterday. Dignition director Santiago Diaz-Delgado, who will also be taking up a senior position in BlackSouls, declared his pride at the move and described Black Souls as "very ambitious".

The former Dignition Call of Duty 4 squad have impressed internationally in recent weeks, qualifying for the ESL Major Series and the ClanBase EuroCup. Their form in the latter has been fairly impressive, with a loss to DCC and a win over TEK9 recorded so far. They are also set to face up against fnatic, Speedlink and Epsilon in their EMS group.

"After much negotiating and weighing the pros and cons of this merger, we have decided to host Dignition under our name and to unite our strength to achieve what very few clubs have so far achieved" explained BlackSouls manager Edward Pérez. "The recent establishment of Black Souls as a company... will help us achieve our objectives, among which are the professionalization of our players and the entry into Spanish gaming at the highest level" he went on to say.

The new BlackSouls Call of Duty 4 squad will line up as follows.

Spain Alex "ReJeCt" Lorenz
Spain Emilio "Ex3cuTor" Martinez
Spain Fran "BroN" Sancho
Spain Santi "Fifty" López
Spain Sebastian "SebaS" Garcia Bautista
Spain Cristian "Vorh" Bertomeu
