mp_strike will host the third week of TGL-P matches following yet another ruleset adjustment.
In true political form, it did not take long for TGL to change their ruleset once more as we proceed into the league's third week. After being taken out and then added back in, the red dot has once again been removed from competition. In addition, round times were reduced from 2:00 to 1:45. The community appears to be in favor of these adjustments, though, so it is unlikely that they will cause much of a stir.
In week two there were several exciting games and some not so exciting ones. Beginning with the former, Evil Geniuses won another nail biter this week 13-11 over FocaL. EG took a 12-8 lead only to watch the score become 12-11 before finally scoring the win in the final round. Nexus fell behind early against Sinister but manged to rally back and come out on top 14-10 in their mp_citystreets meeting. PHG had a scare against Internal Revolution but were able to shut them out in overtime and remain undefeated. MoBgaming looked impressive in their 19-5 shellacking of Seraphic and, as was the case after week one, there are still three matches left unplayed.
The weekly scheduling pitting together teams of the same record has resulted in more quality match-ups for week three. Nexus and Dynamo well meet each other for the first time since CAL, PowerHouse Gaming gets their shot at Evil Geniuses, and FocaL goes head to head with Sinister. The season is young but the once-a-week matches will begin to take their toll on playoff implications sooner rather than later. GotFrag will be there to bring you all of the action when matches go live this Thursday night.
