The debut of eMg's new lineup. Having only had three days of practice, no one knew quite what to expect as they face off against a fairly new PhrenetiK team that featured two well known players with long histories.

After a disappointing first map, PhrenetiK tries to make things happen on Inferno. Strong play from Amico and Sinyster provide some good frags, but it was chE who stole the spotlight with one of the best 1v3 clutch wins in recent history.

EG came into KODE5 with a terrible record in events previous. However, now they had two great LAN ringers with strong backgrounds to support them. Suddenly, EG might have a shot at winning a map or even the match. x3o was reeling from the loss of n0thing and the opportunity for a surprise upset was present. But would it be enough against the time-tested core lineup of x3o with Hostile in the mix?

x3o had shown they came to play. Now it was EG's turn to pick the map and answer back if they hoped to have a chance at progressing to the finals.

For the second time in a row, eMg uses the high seed position to choose de_train as the best-of-three first map choice. x3o came out of the gates running however, trampling eMg throughout game. Watch as x3o's impulsive reaches an astounding 1.58 FPR against the top ranked team in North America.

x3o seemed to be within inches of clenching the USA title at KODE5. Nuke was their map choice and that's enough to give anyone confidence. The first half started off 9-2 in x3o's favor and all that was left was the final nail in the coffin. Then something incredible happened...

Coming in hot after a streak of winning rounds, eMg was holding fast to the last map's turn around result following the decimation on train. x3o knew they had one last chance to earn a spot at the Global Finals and to stop the rally eMg looked to continue.
