Eximius acquires CS 1.6 team Ruins. Eximius Sports has been on pause since the Championship Gaming Series North American Combine in Austin, Texas. After losing two of their members to the CGS, one as a player and one as a taxi player it forced the Counter-Strike Source team to part ways with each other. Now Eximius Sports is at work again and getting ready for summer 2008 competition. Eximius Sports is happy to announce the pickup of our new Counter-Strike 1.6 team, “Ruins.” The new Eximius Sports 1.6 team is invited into the Gotfrag Revival Tournament #2 and has plans to play in the regular CEVO season and hope to attend the X3O Dust-Off championship in August. They will be attending other major LAN events that pop up this summer. The team attended Winter CPL with the 3 core members of dizzaman, truls and millipede placing 5th-8th; the team fell short to X3O and Mug and Mouse. The team is currently in the CEVO OCZ tournament 3rd round upper brackets after recently defeating Drift last night 16-7. Dustin “dizzaman” Dilyerd says, “Eximius Sports is a well respected organization among the eSports community and we are excited and honored to have a chance to represent them as their new 1.6 team. The name Eximius Sports will only better our team knowing we have a solid foundation to build and grow from. It was a mutual decision to take a break after CPL due to disagreements within the team. It wasn't until recently that Chris "truls" Navratil and Alex "millipede" Abbott decided to bring back the team with the addition of longtime friends Matt "zetti" Kasten and Keith "Keefers" Spies. Were excited about the change and ready to give the top teams a run for their money.” Eximius Sports News Eximius Sports is looking to acquire a well established Call of Duty 4 team once again. With summer coming around, there is always something good in the works. Were getting ready for whatever pops up. Eximius Sports thanks their sponsors in Nationvoice, Aim2game, GlobalFrag, & NextGeneration Servers. You can see Eximius CS 1.6 team in action during the GotFrag Revival Tour Tournament #2 this weekend May 31st-June 1st, 2008, on GotFrag TV! |
