By: Brent Meeder - Published July 28, 2008 at 9:07 PM EDT - Writer Archive
GotFrag is back for the next installment of GotSkills for CEVO Professional 1.6 Season 9.
USA - Suprises and upset are still ongoing as Dust2 finishes up Week 2. Many know of the maps very awkward ways of winning and how it can be adjusted at anytime. Iniquity obtains a four-game streak after two weeks and is the only team to be undefeated thus far. MoB suffers a close loss which drops them in the standings and creates a three-way race for first. GotFrag is here to give you the numbers for Week 2 of CEVO Professional Season 9.

Top 5 Team Performances of the Week

1. United States Iniquity - Holding the only undefeated streak after two weeks, Iniquity picks up a huge win over MoB and thus puts them in first place. Also picking up a easy win over MNM gives them only a slight lead going into Week 3.
2. United States PoV - Since they opened the season with two losses, they are now beginning to feel more comfortable with a two-game streak heading into Week 3.
3. United States MoB - Currently in second place, MoB will look to bounce back after their loss to Iniquity on Dust2. Although they picked up a win over 50 Calibre, their CPI will not increase that match to chase Iniquity's lead.
4. United States X3O - Ferocity shook them up in Dust2 but couldnt hang on as X3O takes both matches this week. The loss against EG might still be haunting them and could cause some more close matches.
5. United States EG - Taking a tough loss to Devastation in the beginning, they were able to pull a win over Complexity. They are also in the race for first with MoB and Iniquity.

Player of the Week: Gino "gwhatkey" Wuttke - It was a close one between Wuttke and Truong but in the end, Wuttke put up a stronger performance against MoB when it counted most which put them in the lead and that much closer to a championship. Wuttke was averaging a frag per round and 105+ DAR to finish Week 2 and will want to top it next week. Iniquity currently sits 4 spots ahead of X3O.

Surprise of the Week: Complexity - This week seemed to of been a bump in the road for the former CGS team in losing both of their matches on de_dust2. With the map being very pug friendly, it was shocking to not see them defeat 50 Calibire, who is sitting #10 in CEVO. Anymore losses could hurt their chances in playoffs if they are not careful.

Stock Rising: Iniquity - Huge wins in week two including MoB and the winless Mug N Mouse. Many teams have been putting them down for their advanced online ability but nothing is yet to happen. They've played a whole season prior to this without a problem and will look to place better than third this time around.

Stock Falling: Mug N Mouse - The texans are keeping the bottom of the leaderboard warm for another week as they have yet to win a match. Roster problems in the beginning of the season may have caused some damage as they continue to struggle. Despite their losses, they were able to only pick up four rounds combined out of the two matches.
