Hello, I have my new Mouse from razer and im asking if exist a good config for a good performance in cs souce. And if anyone have a special function for anyone of the 2 side buttons, in one i have the voice enable .
Right now, im with 500 polling rate and 900 dpi's.
I don't use the side buttons for anything, 1000 pr and 1800dpi, you may as well use the highest dpi and just drop the sensitivity to match it seeing as you can, but it's all preference at the end of the day. I use sensitivity of 3 ingame, kind of matching zet's css settings I guess. Turn off acceleration if you haven't already. My friends side buttons died after half a year of use, but then again it was his reload button so you know.
I find using the side button for something as talk a bit of a weird strain, holding the mouse so tightly just ends up with me not being able to aim well, so I use caps lock to talk.
Haha Source makes me laugh, its a complete joke. Reasons why Source sucks:
- Horrible hitboxes - Huge player models that even the most retarded child can hit - Easy recoil - Shoot with accuracy while moving - Overpowered flashes - Cant shoot through walls - Slow and simple movement - CGS rules makes the game even more random
dont use a side button for vent, use capslock.. as for configs there is no specific config that will improve your mouse' preformance i went from a 518 to a deathadder and used the same config, just bought a new mouse pad... i found i lowered my sensitivity going ot the deathadder as well.
I think the mouse acc. is fixed , but the problem is in source i put 1 of sensi and in windows to the lowest sensi , and when im ingame the sensitive with 1 is so higher too much and i have to down dpi's to 900 to make lower sensi cause with 1800 is unplayable...
Mayby is acceleration, im gonna test the registry key ...
1800 dpi, 1000 hz polling rate, 3/11 windows sens, and between 2-3 sensitivity is what most people use with it. Use what you're comfortable with, though.
Just don't play at 450 DPI. If you want a low DPI mouse get a 3.0 or MX518. The DA tracks badly below the 900 DPI setting, but I recommend using 1800. The higher your polling rate the faster the mouse reacts to movement (so ideally, the higher the better) but it also uses more processing power. If you have a decent computer that can run 100 FPS constant, don't run at anything but 1000, if your computer can barely run Source, drop it to 500.
If you didn't install drivers, make sure that "pointer precision" is -not- checked. If you installed drivers then you can disable accel through that, otherwise, add the following to your command line:
-noforcemparms -noforcemaccel or install the CPL mousex fix.
I found the DA was better without drivers, but different people have different settings, so use what works for you.

-Even more horrible hitboxes than cs:s and you know it -Normal player models but ok?!?! all you do is point and click so what if hes a bit smaller -Recoil is even easier to control in 1.6 due to bullets always going in the same pattern. Plus when your bullets hit the wall, they are way easier to see than in css -Shoot with accuracy while moving (you can do it in 1.6 also, just learn, its really easy) -Worthless flashes... If your actually blind from a flash in 1.6, you deserve a medal cuz I really dont know how you do it -Can shoot through anything at any time where ever your are. -1.6 has slow and simple movement.... If you actually had a clue, you would realize that cs:s movements are way faster than the 1.6 ones.. specially the strafe movements
^this guy knows whats up. and get this through your head 1.6 is too f#$king old, people with dells are allowed to play this game, and people still need configs to play that crappy as* game? 1.6 is a joke.

use one side button for ingame voice, and the other one for ventrilo or whatever you use.

-Even more horrible hitboxes than cs:s and you know it
