Ok is it just me or are other source teams catching up to the cgs teams...and the cgs teams really aren't as hot crap , gods gift to life...just saying...
no one said they were gods gift...and it is only natural for the other teams to catch up being that the other teams were never bad to begin with...this is also the reason cgs has drafts...so they can switch it up and such if there is a lack of performance on any teams part br0
hah...lets see col actually drop one of its original players or see washed up players like moE moved...i think its too much politics and hype honestly the cgs is a bad idea pooping on what cs used to be imo...i understand that they want to make it bigger and more money but its kind of actually killing the community in a way.
Well Ian lets take a look at the standings. Chimera, Optx, coL are all undefeated in placement and 3D lost one. Venom won last year vs Core in the finals. Plus this is online. Enough said.
i agree but there is no logic with taking it a step further and saying players/teams are washed up or suck....more competition on the upper end of the spectrum is good for everyone
#1 non-CGS teams have, for the most part, been caught up to CGS teams for more than a year now. Since 2007, actually.
Now, don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that the best teams in the CGS aren't the most dominate teams overall (coL in 2007, Venom in 2008), but the CGS teams sitting below the top one or two teams each season have consistently been on a roughly equal level with non-CGS teams.
#9, the only none cgs teams that were able to beat them was zomblers +} , eGe . That's all that i can remember. You shouldn't forget that teams like zomblerz and eGe were made out of experienced players who played cs for years so with that being said .... I don't think that there has been much teams on par with the cgs but the ones that have been, are made out of strong and experienced players #9 so they might be on an equal level therefore they are allowed to get beaten.
I believe it was approximately a year ago at Newegg Lanfest in Ontario, Cali when people were saying this same stuff. What happened then? 5 out of the 6 teams in the top 6 were CGS teams.
#14 i think with the format of CGS rules it makes lesser teams appear closer then they actually are. If the rules were different you would see a larger skill gap within the CGS teams and also teams outside of cgs.
Basically if the rule format wasn't a joke, teamwork and intelligence would matter.
Can we go back to MR15 now, since CGS doesn't air all of the CSS coverage anymore? Wasn't the lack of airtime the reason for shortening the rounds and halves anyway?
Didn't your team tie a non-CGS pug #14 at that LAN? And Core - U5 went into OT as well for a tiebreaker?
The original poster is sort of right. There have always been 2-3 teams close the CGS teams in skill. That's just going to be the nature of a 6 team league though. There's more than 30 skilled players in the North American CS:S scene.
rofl cgs teams are just failed cs teams...are you high...lol the majority of the cgs players are almost all players who were brought over to source because of MONEY they were at the top of 1.6 before they left...nice point though pos about the rule set would change things up...may actually use some thought process...
CGS teams...
news to me.
go away again

The other team? Pandemic? Remember those guys? oh yea, now most of them are in the CGS.

basically it was zomblerz, pandemic and devastation going up until last combine.
Wat?

I agree, coL 3D and venom would beat the crap out of every team out there. :)
