MYM has announced that it will be closing its Counter-Strike: Source division, due to the prevalence of 1.6 in Europe. MYM’s management cites that, "none of the [European] events have replaced CS 1.6 with CS:S and most likely won't ever". They then go on to condemn Source as, "a game that we no longer consider a professional game with a future". The official news on MYM’s website reads as follows: Back in 2007 we took in the Danish Counter-Strike Source team from H2K, mostly to secure a top team for a potential swift between CS 1.6 and CS:S amongst the global events. Since none of the events have replaced CS 1.6 with CS:S and most likely won't ever, we have lost belief in the game and are therefore closing down the division to focus on other upcoming games and the ones we already have. MYM's Counter-Strike: Source line-up was: Martin "orga" Hansen Thomas "inCre-" Hector Lars "h0lm" Holm Jespersen Troels "eXce" KierulffSource: MyMYM |
