For those giving up LAN hope, don�t lose hope just yet. The Office Games is still interested in giving us another SoCal LAN. Nothing can be set in stone just yet, as the success of this LAN directly relies on the number of teams that are willing to attend.

After talking with TOG, we have agreed that making this LAN some time during Winter break would be best. The catch: it will have to fall on a Friday and Saturday OR a Sunday and Monday.

In order for this LAN to become remotely possible, I need to get an accurate count of how many teams would be interested in going. We would be looking at a $50 per person registration fee, and $60 at the door.

TOG is willing to help us get sponsors, but not necessarily monetary sponsorship. Should Winter break not work for some of you, we can also consider looking at Martin Luther King weekend (January 19th)(Sunday and Monday), which would give most of us a chance to make the trip without too many complications.

I need your thoughts!

I say we celebrate the New Year with a LAN on January 2nd and 3rd.

Mmm sounds like fun, since I'm taking a year break before I go to college I should be able to go... to somewhere thats actually nice in the winter too :D

January 19th wouldn't help attracting Central/East coast players. I'm fairly certain most schools will be back in session by then.

The reason I bring up the 19th is because TOG is not willing to dedicate a whole weekend to a LAN. I figured that'd be the next best possible option if Winter break is a no-go.

Well with winter break you'd have a good month to work with, excluding Christmas and New Years.

Due to the fact that staff members at TOG will only let you use half the lan center, I recommend not having the lan there.
