CAL Intermediate SVIII Week 11 - Railroad
Special Air Services vs Good 4 Nothing	As I said last week, Special Air Services get the Sportsmanship Award this year. Unfortunately it's very true that said award rarely goes to teams who win often. Some of the nicest guys/gals in DoD and CAL history. g4n, this is a win for the taking. Go get it. Blackknight's Prediction: Good 4 Nothing by 100 G4N should have this match easily. SaS is an experienced group but do not have the talent to win out this game. G4N even though falling apart should rape them at long and in apartments. Maddox is going to hold down where ever he may go. G4N Look out for a ringer as SaS might try to pull one on you. Bismal’s Prediction: Good 4 Nothing by 300
Mx3 vs Untimely Demise (Vindicated)	Bad news bears. uD is going to destroy MMM. I'm really unsure as to why uD has had such a rocky season, and I think they're in the same mindset. I think it comes down to their roster issues earlier in the season. They've had some close good matches and so bad blowouts, and at 5 and 5. Next season they'll go 9 and 3 and make post season as a good seed. This year was a good trial for them. MMM, good luck have fun. Blackknight's Prediction: Untimely Demise by 200 Unfortunately as much as i love Mx3 i do not think they have the power to defeat Untimely Demise. UD has three excellent players. They have guru who will destroy apartments and help mid out...Akiro who is basically unstoppable when he is on his game and Grigo who could easily be one of the top snipers in im if he tried. Mx3 has Agape who pulls out amazing shots to clutch most situations for Mx3. Dave formerly on Super has pulled some amazing shots this season showing off his skills and motivation to prove himself to be a good contender in DoD. Bismal’s Prediction: uD by 400+
Homies vs Remixed	I love soccer. Come June 9th, I'll be watching the World Cup. The only post season victories homies can hope for are the ones by routing for a winning team in the Cup. Remixed is going to demolish this team coming in to launch into the last week of the season unblemished at 9-0. Not much else to say. Blackknight's Prediction: Remixed by 100 For all of you saying that some writers don’t do a good job well this is an amazing example why. Never EVER do i see see homies in their channel, every time i have done their preds. Not to much to study though, the cal I pug remixed will make sure to manhandle homies by nothing less then 300 Bismal’s Prediction: remixed by 300+
P4nz3R vs Team Perception	2-8 vs. 3-3. I'll give the nod to the Perception. Stop letting me predict for you and you guys lose. Prove me right. Better skills, better teamwork, better map for Perception. I do think P4nz3R has a shot with Perception inconsistency, to make a strong surge on such a universal map. Already being played once this season, P4nz3R downed a team by about 550 points on dod_railroad, so it's a little bit a of toss up for me, but Perception by about 30. Blackknight's Prediction: Perception by 30+ Not much to know about either teams never got a pm back. But with the knowledge that i have TP should have no problem taking Panzer. TP has to win this game and the next to have any chance of making playoffs even though it looks pretty slim they might always have a chance. Bismal’s Prediction: Perception by 500
The Phantom Team vs Aimless.dod	South America vs. South America. Let's go Prydain! Hopefully their ping issues will be neglible since their LAN centers are in the same hemisphere. Regardless Phantom Team has successfully crushed teams in their easier matches and lost their others in a mostly respectable manner. I pick them to notch a W on their record and go 7-4 for a post season push. Aimless.dod good luck next season as dropping to 3 and 4 probably won't allow you to get a seed in the post season, but you've attained valuable experience and brownie points this season in CAL-IM. Blackknight's Prediction: TPT by 120 Both playing for their motherland....lets see how these teams are going to do matched up with the exact same ping. Aimless has had a very good season using Lucas and Beru to their advantage. Beru usually top fraging for his team has probably been the MVP for Aimless. TPT has had a rough season but has slowly bounced back with a huge win against Team Perception lets see if they can carry their momentum through. Bismal’s Prediction: Aimless by 100
iCON vs Carebears	This match was left unpredicted due to team iCON being suspended earlier in the week. We apologize for this inconvience.
Quiet Storm (Zero Ethics) vs Llamas on Drugs	I shouldn't predict the match for them. To spite their name change. Yet another name change. I can't keep it straight anymore. If it weren't for people being lazy and forgetting to update their team logo's, I wouldn't even know. That's a lie, I have tan lines from being on GotFrag for days on end. Anyway enough about me, back to Day of Defeat 1.3. quiet storm is going to win this one. With tugger (an obvious cheater coughdisputecough) and jBambi heavying apartments in this beloved map, there will be nothing stopping q.s. from racking up some serious points. Llama on Drugs have some heavy hitters, but without some strategy, it's gonna be quiet storm for the win. : No one this week cause I'm tired of you guys crying that I say bench warmers should be watched, they need lovin too... Blackknight's Prediction: Quiet Storm by 150+ Qs has had an amazing season pulling out huge game leads to some closer game leads. Dex and Tugger have really shown their in game relationship in and out of game to be one of the best in IM. LoD is a decent team having the skill but not the teamwork in most of the games. Watch out for Tugger "One man Army" to wreck apartments and hold mid/long throughout the map. Bismal’s Prediction: Quiet Storm by 150
NoGo Gaming Faction vs Oldskool	This match is quite funny. NoGo played osK on Railroad 2 and loss tremendously, so now they are faced against osK again on RR1. For some reason, I thought there was a rule that you can't play the same team twice during the regular season unless during playoffs. I guess not! We're here to redeem ourselves from the match played on RR2. After that match, NoGo tweaked their roster a little, while osK is just looking to finish off the season and enter playoffs. I would like to thank osK for rescheduling the match to Wednesday, sacrificing 2 starters. This should be a great match. Watch Disco-Stu and chicagolegend show us why they won last time, while Spoon becomes a little insect for osK's heavy team. Also look for e`nut to make a triumphant return in his first match since his so called 'retirement'. Aristocracy vs Antivirus	This doesn't seem to be a fair match at all for Antivirus. Aristocracy has been doing very well in IM and is (I think) a contender for making playoffs. AV, on the other hand, forfeited to osK last week so there is a chance that Aristocracy will win by forfeit. If they do play, this match will be of no contest for Aristocracy. Watch SKiNnTo and rish to be the 2 players on AV that will be able to hold their own, while solidryed0n controls the apartment and Mailman be the top rifle in this match. Aristocracy should be able to have this match. GungHoUnit's Prediction: Aristocracy by 100+ Players to watch: solidryedon, mailmain, skinto, rish
606th FireRats vs Pantheon	This match is of 2 lower-tier teams going at each other showing who still cares. Let's hope this match is actually played considering that FireRats forfeited last week. After playing both teams sometime during this season, I would have to give this match to Pantheon. FR lost Renton, who was their top player and Pantheon is coming out from a great loss against NoGo last week. Watch DarkSeedX and viceless to be the 2 forces on FR, while Epimetheus and kane takes care of the other FR guys. Nexus vs New Friends!	Nexus suffered a great loss to one of the top Intermediate teams, Aristocracy, and will not be given a break this week. They will be facing off against the #3 seeded team in Intermediate, New Friends!, and will have a hard time getting their way through it. New Friends! continues to show the community why they are one of the top teams this season. I don't see this match to be very close at all and will just add another victory for New Friends! Watch advenT and kon0 to dominate nF's rifles, but considering that the apartments on Railroad is a very important factor, nF has the upper advantage. Watch robbyF and marlsG to run through apartments with ease and be able to break the middle capture a few times. This could be yet another step for New Friends! to be on their way to playoffs or this could be the match where Nexus steps it up and shows everyone that they have a few tricks up their sleeves.
