CAL Intermediate SXIII Round 1 Playoffs - Harrington
remixed
[#1]

vs

Special Air Services
[#16]

remixed finished the regular season as the #1 seed for the Intermediate divison with a solid record of 10-0-0. sAs, however, is a different story. They ended up the regular season with a 1-7-0 record and it's a mystery as to how they made playoffs. It was probably because of the FF rule that CAL enforced this season that they got the #16 spot by default. This match will be of no contest to powerhouse team remixed. It sucks that sAs were able to get into playoffs only to be eliminated right away. Watch r1tter from remixed to run his route with ease and Maddox from sAs be the only one to hold his own ground against remixed. remixed will advance to the next round.

GungHoUnit's Prediction: remixed wins by 500+ points

Not Much to say about this match. Remixed is the WAY favored team and are going to dominate SaS. SaS barely got into playoffs due to the FFs rule that knocked out 3 teams.

Bismal’s Prediction: Remixed by 500+ points
Aimless.dod
[#8]

vs

homies
[#9]

This match will consist of two South American teams going at each other and thus, the pings will be of no concern for any of these two teams. aimless finished the regular season strong with a good 6-3-0 record, while homies did fairly well coming out 6-5-0. This match will be one of the closer matches this week, but again, one will be eliminated and the other becomes victorious and going further into the playoffs. I expect lucas to dominate for aimless.dod, while CHEVCHENKO becoming the main factor for homies to break through the defense that aimless.dod will have set up. I think this will be an extremely close match, but aimless.dod will be the South American team that comes out with the win.

GungHoUnit's Prediction: aimless.dod wins by ~55 points

Both teams are south american and are trying to duke it out and show who is really the leader of their motherland. Lucas from Aimless should carry this team very well holding down mid with ease. Beru holds down mt side holding down any thing that comes in his path. Watchout especially for beru to hold down mid from ladder almost the entire game.

Bismal’s Prediction: Aimless by 100+
Aristocracy
[#5]

vs

Good 4 Nothing
[#12]

Having played Aristocracy two times during the regular season, I would have to say that this match should not be hard to predict. Aristocracy is a strong team with some solid players (no pun intended) and that will take them far. I do not know what is up with G4N, but during the last few weeks of the regular season, sTeW has been trying to fix his roster issue and player activity. Let's hope sTeW and company got it fixed 'cause it would suck for G4N to be eliminated because they couldn't get guys on and had to forfeit. Watch Davey to dominate G4N's rifles without any resistance, while RocKhanS will try and get a cap or two down for G4N to make the match somewhat close. In the end, Aristocracy will go to the next level of playoffs.

GungHoUnit's Prediction: Aristocracy wins by 125+ points

Aristocracy has had a good season with an outstanding roster. G4N on the other hand has had a horrible season and a messed up roster constantly having to change. Watch out for stew and joel to duke it out on mt but watch out especially for Solid to dominate anything in his path constantly holding mt and G4N's first. Also watch out for Wiz to dominate in middle no scoping anything withing a radius of 100 yards. This match will easily go to aristo

Bismal’s Prediction: Aristo by 350+
ZeroEthics
[#4]

vs

Team Perception
[#13]

If you compare both teams' records, the prediction will be too easy. But don't let the fool you. zeroethics finished the season with an awesome record of 9-1-0 with their only loss against the #1 seed team remixed. Perception ended the season with an even record of 4-4-0 and will try to strengthen that record up to make it positive. Watch CrazyKilla to lead the way for ze and exept will show Perception that he wants to win. I see zeroethcis to win this round.

GungHoUnit's Prediction: zeroethcis wins by 100+ points

This is going to be another match that will not be that great. Watch out for ZE to hold mid most of this game not allowing perception never to gain territory allowing them not to advance. Tugger and Crazy are the ones that are going to be noticed the most. Crazy holding long is all you need to dominate mid from behind while Tugger "StheEoneXmanYarmy" will dominate ladder always making sure mid is held.

Bismal’s Prediction: ZeroEthics by 400+
Old Skool
[#3]

vs

Pantheon
[#14]

lol, wow. that's pretty cruel, allowing disco stu to stay in cal-im because he pretty much deserves to be in cal-i since he is ridiculously amazing. exibit a) he doesn't stop moving when he shoots. exibit b) he doesn't miss, ever. if you show me proof of disco stu missing a shot beyong reasonable doubt, i'll paypal you money. whatever disco stu doesn't kill, chicagolegend will.

Kirk's Prediction: team disco stu (cal-im version) by 400

Ok. Basic, before hiring people to do predictions...make sure they are literate. Roadrunner, the british super star will own mountain house. Disco and Chicago going long will rape. Questionable is sniper to sniper on mid, and the third rifle situation running mid. All in all, osK caps four times as Allies and three as Axis. KAR's > BAR's in this matchup. Easy warmup for the first round and getting their feet wet in post-season play. Don't worry about the IM win, just worry about playing well at CPL.

BlackKnight's Prediction: osK by 350
iCON
[#6]

vs

Llamas on Drugs
[#11]

people say icon cheat, i guess. i've never seen them cheat, really, but for a cal-im team they aren't bad i guess. we'll go with them since their number is smaller than LOD's number.

Kirk's Prediction: icon by 62

This is my upset of the week. LoD is going to step up and get to Round 2 of the playoffs. iCON will either get disgruntled and lose out of frustration or get disputed. If Bacon plays, watch him, it's possible he could topfrag.

BlackKnight's Prediction: Llamas on Drugs by 60
NoGo Gaming Faction
[#7]

vs

The Phantom Team
[#10]

i was going to say TPT since they are SA players and will ping and lag and such, but since i decided to take the time to find out that NOGO is actually elite DI, i'll go with them. gungho is solid on the rifle, and bluerevolver is so underrated as a sniper that it, quite frankly, disgusts me. gogo blue and khoi (who is bad at math, contrary to the azn stereotype)

Kirk's Prediction: nogo by eleventeen

NoGo will do really well this week against Phantom. Frustration and annoyance will need to be overcome this week in a matchup against a team from South America. Bluerevolver will completely destroy in middle and unless he doesn't use sound, will be really hard to take out, good grenades or excellent flank play will be required to cap out on NoGo this week from Phantom Team.

BlackKnight's Prediction: NoGo by 150
New Friends!
[#2]

vs

Mx3
[#15]

holy crap new friends prones so hard it's ridiculous. not kidding, i would've rather played PK against wedo and habib. it was to the point where people on our team were making their name "Prone count: #". we were up to around 19 before the scrim broke up. marls and robby will never get up, but because of this, they will own the mt. house the entire match. christman is solid too, and i think he goes mid? but wherever he goes, he will stir up trouble. still watch for minnie to do what saratoga and druuna have never accomplished, and that is a girl dropping more than 17 in a match. just joking, sas are nice people and i'm just kidding.

Kirk's Prediction: new friends by 23,931,385

New Friends is the best managed team in CAL-IM. Skill, strategy, communication, and confidence. It's going to be hard to pick them not to take the championship but with remixed and osK both rearing their heads and showing a positive attitude, Round 1 will be very telling pushing toward the final. Watch Robby and Marls destroy Mountain House and Bridge, and Bismal to make horrible predictions on GotFrag about the other matches. Bitter and Benton are a wonderful one, two rifling duo pairing at Long and expect the only real battle being for control of mid in this matchup. Don't expect MMM to give New Friends too much trouble for too long in Mid, but expect Mid Flag to be the one questionable spot that if MMM exploits properly and flanks to the other flags, could easily disrupt an easy win for New Friends and make it a frustrating proning contest. Dark corners and space behind boxes are your friends in this one MMM.

BlackKnight's Prediction: New Friends by 400
