One of the first major Halo 3 tournaments is about to be underway within the coming days. Major League Gaming has announced their 4v4 Holiday Tournament which has a team limit of 80 teams. With over 70 teams already enrolled in the tournament, we can expect to see a number of top teams playing for the chance to be number one in the online world of Halo 3.

Not many confirmed teams have been shown, but as other MLG Pro Circuit stops a number of amateur teams will take their chances on perhaps some of the best Halo 2 players in the world as their teams enter as well. We may see perhaps a new group of competitors step up and defeat top Halo 2 teams in the MLG Pro Circuit as they enter a new game, or these highly skilled teams from past circuits can dominate another incarnation of Halo.

Tournament play begins on Tuesday, December 18 as it will proceed through January to the 29th. Coverage of this tournament will be provided by none other than GotFrag.com as we take a look at the growing community of Halo 3.
