Alongside a series of four regional online and LAN qualifier competitions, WCG has once again decided to hand-pick four of the top players in the USA to play in the WCG US Open, including last year's representative, Phil "LongWalk" Crawford.

The WCG 2008 US Open is taking place at The Samsung Experience in New York City. The four invited players will play a standard double elimination bracket best-of-three format, where the winner will qualify directly to the WCG USA Finals to be held later this year.

The matches are scheduled to begin at 11:00am EST and will continue until the conclusion of the Grand Finals.
